Alexandra recently published the book "My Happy Country", which she calls a declaration of love for Denmark and a personal tale of becoming a happy Dane.
In the book she tries among other things. to find answers to why the Danes time and again are elected as one of the happiest people in the world?
In her quest she travels Denmark, from Skagen to Skaro, from Mogeltonder to Copenhagen.
She seeks out landscapes and businesses, she visits islanders and winter bathers, and she consultes experts in art, language and happiness. Everyone brings her closer to Danish history, culture and identity, but the trip also becomes a
personal journey in memory.
